Interactive live painting is a collaborative art experience where your guests add their own brushstrokes to a shared canvas under Roni’s guidance. Throughout the event, guests contribute color and texture while Roni shapes the composition in real time. After the event, he completes the final artistic details to create a cohesive work that reflects the energy and people of your celebration.
How many guests can participate and is it suitable for large events?
One canvas comfortably accommodates up to 200 participants. For larger weddings, fundraisers, and corporate events, Roni provides additional canvases so everyone who wants to contribute can join in. The setup scales easily for small gatherings or large venues in Chicago, Rockford, and surrounding Illinois communities.
Will my venue allow interactive live painting?
Almost always, yes. Roni uses protective floor coverings, a controlled paint process, and pre-loaded brushes to prevent spills. Guests never handle open paint, and Roni manages all brush cleaning during the event. In more than eight years of performances, there have been no incidents or venue objections.
What space, setup, and equipment requirements should the venue prepare?
The venue only needs to provide a nearby outlet, a table, and roughly a 10×10 foot area for the easel and guest participation. Roni arrives about two hours before the event to set up protective materials, lighting, and supplies so everything is ready when guests arrive. All equipment, paint, brushes, and safety materials are included.
How long does the live painting portion last and what is the full event timeline?
Roni typically stays onsite for one to four hours depending on your event schedule. He arrives two hours early to prepare the setup and guide the first guests. After the live portion ends, he completes the final artistic details within 24 to 48 hours. Once the piece is approved, it is delivered ready to hang.
How does Roni guide guests to ensure the artwork stays cohesive?
Roni directs guests with simple prompts, color choices, and brushstroke guidance so each contribution supports the emerging composition. Guests enjoy full creative participation, while Roni manages the structure, blending, and final details to ensure the finished piece looks polished and intentional.

Is Roni insured for live event painting?
Yes. Roni is fully insured as a performance artist, and The Underground Gallery is also insured. A Certificate of Insurance (COI) can be provided to your venue upon request.
